Zazie Bistro & Grill Review

Hi all,

Today's review will be on a place that serves authentic Parsi food. Situated amongst the many eataries in Satra Plaza, Vashi, this bistro stands out due to the cuisine it serves. This is the first time we tried out Parsi cuisine so let's see how our experience was!

Drinks-

1. Raspberry soda: What meal would be incomplete without a Parsi raspberry soda? We had to order one! This drink was served to us in a bulb shaped glass which looked cool. The colour of the drink is a delicious reddish pink. The taste is exactly what it says- raspberry flavoured soda. The soda is mild though.

2. Blue sea: This is a lovely blue coloured mocktail. It is basically a flavoured lemon juice. It is delicious nonetheless.

3. ‎Virgin Mojito: A classic drink to cleanse your palate after gorging on scrumptious food.

4. ‎Black Currant Punch: This drink was sweet, tangy, sour all at the same time.

Food-

5. ‎Crumb fried chicken: Delicious and crispy chicken served with a creamy dip. This dish is finger licking good! You should try it if you love fried chicken.

6. ‎Fish corn fritters: Perfectly fried and crispy fish fritters served with a creamy dip. Now it wasn't a regular fish because they have their special batter in which they dip and fry the fillet fish. It was awesome!

7. ‎Chicken farcha: This dish was recommended to us by our host. Chicken Farcha looked like your regular fried chicken but oh we were wrong. It was coated with this unique batter which had traditional spices which is used in Parsi cuisine. It took your regular fried chicken to a whole new level just because of the spices!

8. ‎Kheema pau: A classic dish that needs no introduction. The plate is filled with mouth watering kheema along with pav. The kheema is spicy and delightful!

9. ‎Patra ni Macchi: We wanted to try out this dish since a long time and we finally got to try it out here. This is one of the best fish starters ever. And probably the healthiest too. The fish is steamed to a tender softness along with green chutney. It tastes heavenly when consumed hot.

10.House special Irani salli ‎Pizza (half chicken half mutton): The mutton pizza stole the show! Not that the chicken one was bad. But mutton in a pizza is quite unique and we loved it! The Salli did nothing but look nice, you can either opt for it or leave it. The pizza has thin crust so you could enjoy the flavours on top.

11. Mutton cutlet sizzler: This is ahlgain something which we never heard of. We fell in love with the soft and juicy mutton cutlet. This sizzler had the kheema and rice. The combination of both were just too delicious to miss!

Dessert-

1. Caramel custard: They don't have much dessert options so we went for the caramel custard as no meal is ever fully complete without a dessert. This caramel custard was wobbly and perfectly sweetened. It was a perfect sweet ending to a humongous meal!

Food: 4/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Service: 3.5/5

P.S. they also have a lot more sizzlers. They are also known for their biryani and kebab buffet. Do check it out if you are interested!
