Pair A Dice Cafe, Oshiwara, Andheri West

Pair A Dice Cafe

Hey Foodies!
Seating area

Happy Weekend! What are your plans for this weekend? Do tell us in the comments. If not, well, here’s one bomb place that you should definitely visit with your friends. Reading the title and the play of words, you might have a skosh of an idea of what this place might be offering.
Vibrant Interiors!

Well, it is a little café tucked in Oshiwara that not only offers yummy food but also offers over 150 board games for you and your friends to play for a small fee*! You heard it right! From Uno to Business to you-name-it, chances are, they will have all the games that we all used to play in our childhood. What’s best is if you don’t know how to play a game, they will teach you how to play it. And in no time, you’ll find yourself screaming and totally lost in the game. Even if you don’t like board games, we’re sure; you’ll be drawn to the crazy competitive vibe of this place.
Look at the huge array of games they hoard! 😍😍

We’ve never had so much fun in any café ever! It was late when we left and we did not feel like leaving at all! It was all so nostalgic. Remember those childhood days where you were having so much fun with your friends but your mom forced you to come home and you did not want to leave the place? Yeah, that was us here! We’ve also included clips of us playing games here and it was so much fun! Okay, so enough of rambling, let’s get to what we hogged!
Wall of Frames

1.   Mexican Bhel: Now this is a twist to the regular bhel. It is like our Bhel went abroad and got a makeover done! And we loved it! It had all the right flavors to it. It was tangy, a little bit of sweetness and a hint of spiciness to it. Did we say we loved it? The texture was good too, it wasn’t soggy or too crispy.

2.   Cheese Fondue: By now, you all might know we’re gaga over anything that has cheese in it. So we had to order this, no brainer! It came with four helpings- 3 carbs and one veggie mix which we chose to ignore. (just kidding) So there were the fries, potato wedges and croutons. These three were like heaven for us and this time we aren’t even kidding! The fries, the wedges and the croutons were super delicious on their own; but when dipped into the glorious melted cheese, it was like we died and went to food heaven! You gotta try it! The heat from the candle kept the cheese melted and warm.

3.   Duplik Soda: This is just nimbu pani with a fancy name! Nothing much to talk about. The guy who was serving us said that they have twisted the traditional lemon soda, but we did not find any difference.

4.   Bounce Off Mocktail: This is like your blue bolt or blue coloured mocktail with a dash of sour punch to the drink. We’d say, skip this one too!

5.   Cheesy Maggi Pizza: Maggi seems to be trending everywhere these days- from fries to pizza, maggi has shown its presence in most of the dishes. We ordered this one because yes! Cheese! This pizza was good, not the best because it was bland. It looked like it was made hastily, but a little bit of Tabasco will help solve that problem. Pro tip: Eat it when its warm, when it cools down, it becomes even blander.

6.   Cookie Pizza: This wasn’t in the menu, but Garima, the owner of Pair A Dice told us that she loves this. And one of the FoodFreak has a major sweet tooth, so we ordered it too! It was super delicious! Another must order! This has a cookie base with nutella as the ‘pizza sauce’ and chocolate chips as toppings! Isn’t this what dessert dreams are made up of? Even the other FoodFreak loved this to bits! This dessert wasn’t too sweet and it can be easily shared by two!

7.   Bang On KitKat & Ferrero Rocher Monopoly Freakshakes: They come in mason jars with lovely cream on top and the divine chocolate milkshake inside. It looks super delicious, but in reality it was okay. The cream wasn’t sweet enough, it was borderline tasteless, the shake was good, again lacked sweetness. Pleasing to the eyes but not to the tongue.

Overall, we absolutely loved this place. It felt like we were 10 years old competing against each other and had a blast here! Some foods were a hit and some were a miss, but the experience was totally worth it! We definitely recommend checking this place out. We know you’ll thank us later!

*We were skeptical as to why they charge if you play their games, so we asked Garima about it. She said that she pays a lot of money for the games as they aren’t really available in India and the games are pretty expensive (talk about 3-4 grand per game, well, that’s a lot of money!) Also, she said that if she charges a little amount, people would care more for the game. Earlier we were totally against the whole charging-money-for-games thing. But we agreed to what she said and it seemed quite fair. The amount they charge is really nothing when you have your group of friends.

  1. Nice Restaurant
Thailand´s capital Bangkok is obviously one of the world’s best place to eat tasty Thai food. There are so many restaurants and street vendors selling Thai food that it can sometimes be difficult to spot the really good ones. Also, some restaurants cater Best Indian restaurant in Bangkok mostly to Indian as well as other tourists from different countries, and the food is of top quality.
Bawarchi serve authentic and delicious Indian food, where the Indians as well as other tourists love to eat.
