Coppeto Artisan Gelato Review

Gelato (derived from the Italian word, gelato meaning "frozen”) is an Italian ice cream which typically contains less air and more flavouring than other kinds of frozen desserts, giving it a density and richness that distinguishes it from other ice creams.

Coppetto Artisan Gelato is an interesting dessert parlour in the busy locality of Bandra. It is their first outlet in the city and was opened on 29^th November 2017. All the flavours are made by Chef Nikhil Jain who learnt this skill from the authentic Italian cuisine.

Interiors:

·         The interiors are very classy and simple with minimal and clean decor

·         They had decorated the interiors with Christmas gifts and lighting jars to add to the overall experience

·         The place is well lit and extremely peaceful

Footfall:

·         The place is comparatively new and hence moderate amount of people visit this place. However the footfall increases during the night hours

·         This place is famous amongst the ladies and college going kids

·         It opens at 12:30 and stays open till 12:30 at midnight

·         During weekends it stays open till 2:30

Servings:

·         They serve the gelato in 2 cup and cone sizes as follows:

·         Small- 100gms

Medium-150gms

Jars -800gms

·         2 flavoured choices in small

·         And 3 flavour choices in medium

·         Waffle cones are self-made

Menu:

1.       BISCOTTI CREMA- cookies and cream. It was good rich and creamy as expected from a gelato.

2.       DARK CHOCOLATE- A safe customer friendly flavour.

3.       PISTACHIO- It was really nice and unlike the typical pistachio ice cream which has pieces of pistachio in it. this is the best choice for experiencing a pure pistachio flavoured gelato.

4.       HAZELNUT- One of the best and the most fulfilling gelato of the day. It is the best-selling gelato from this eatery and is surely a must try here.

5.       FERRERO ROCHER- A typical Ferrero Rocher flavoured gelato which is a safe option to choose from.

6.       STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE- A really rich and sweet gelato which is famous amongst the kids.

7.       AMARENA VANILLA- It is the typical vanilla ice cream with the strangest surprise of sour cherries with it. Must try this one.

8.       COFFEE- A nice safe option to pick from.

9.       STRACCIA  TELLA -Milk based gelato with dark chocolate topping. It is an authentic delicacy of Italian cuisine

10.   GUAVA- We literally felt as if we had a bite of a real guava fruit. The gelato is served with salt and chilli powder which adds to the overall taste of this guava gelato! It made us feel nostalgic of the childhood days when we used to have guava with the salt and chilli powder sprinkled on it.

11.   LEMON SORBET- This gelato is surely a must try. It is rare to find this flavour in Mumbai. It is a slushy sour lemon flavoured gelato.

12.   FRUITS OF THE FOREST- This was one of the most aesthetic gelato of the evening. It is made out of the combination of a number of berries. It is sour in taste and feels a little boring after sometime.
