Old Wild West Review

Location: First Floor, Trade View Building, Kamala Mills Compound, Gate 4, Senapati  Bapat Marg, Lower Parel, Mumbai

Ambience and Décor: Old Wild West lives up to its name as it gives you the Mexican-American vibes what with the guns and cowboy hats. They have a bar, a dance floor and music which goes well with the Tex-Mex theme.  They also have a mechanical bull (rodeo) which is functional and you can enjoy it.

Staff: The staff was very polite and courteous because of which we could enjoy this place. Mr. Ronny and Mr. Jason attended us who made sure we had a memorable meal.

Timings to visit: This place provides buffet lunch from 12pm-3pm. It is moderately crowded on Wednesdays after 10pm. But Friday and Saturday evenings is when this place turns LIT.

Items we tasted:

1.     Berry Clash: This mocktail is made from strawberry & cranberry. It has sweet and a hint of sour taste which makes is a delicious drink to order.

2.     Passionate Spice: This is one of the unique mocktail. It might feel like a drink made from Indian spices but basically it just a chili infused drink. It is definitely one of the unique concoctions that we have had!

3.     Indo-Mexican Chicken Tikka Nachos: It is thoughtful of this place to come up with this idea, serving chicken tikka on nachos. The base covered with 3 different types of cheese with Mexican beans in BBQ sauce. It has chicken tikka on the top which leaves hint of a spicy flavor on your tongue.

4.     Chicken Popcorn: Chicken popcorn is something that people of all ages enjoy. It is crispy on the outside and juicy chicken inside. It is served with Alfredo sauce with adds up with the chicken and taste finger licking good!

5.     Chef Special Grilled Chicken Steak: WOW you won’t stop mesmerizing the way it looks. The presentation of the dish is par excellence! This dish is served with veggies and mashed potato. The grilled chicken is succulent and goes well with some chipotle and Alfredo sauce. It looks delicious but tastes even better!

6.     Mexican Veg Burrito Roll: The presentation of this dish was good too. The roll is served with some crispy fries, guacamole and sour cream. There is too much going in the dish at the same time is what we feel. It also has cottage cheese, corn, lettuce, olives with Mexican rice. The burrito was a riot of flavours and had a lot going on. It was a nice one though!

7.     Mexican Cottage Cheese Steak Sizzler: It had grilled cottage cheese with BBQ, Alfredo & Chipotle sauce on top served with some veggies and mashed potato. Sizzlers are always a delight to eat! It tastes great with paneer and the three mentioned sauces.

8.     Classic Double Ka Meetha: A perfect desert for the ones who like just enough sweetness in their desserts. Again, OWW has a way with presenting each dish in an absolutely appetizing way! The bread croutons were soaked in sugar syrup constituted the base. It had rabdi with dry fruits all over it topped with spun sugar which gave an extra edge to this dessert! The sweet bread croutons makes this dish different a perfect way to end a meal.

2FoodFreaks verdict:
Old Wild West is a fun and unique place to have some good time with your friends & family. We loved the way they have incorporated Indian taste in the food from West. This amalgamation is what makes OWW stand out and deserves at least a visit to experience the Tex-Mex themed eatery!
