Burger Fries Factory (BFF), Vile Parle East

Hello dear foodies!

Hope you all are doing fantastic! We have some good news for you all! We have an Instagram account and a Facebook page now! Click the respective links to check out behind the scenes of our work! This week’s review will be on a very popular joint on Zomato, which btw if you don’t follow us there (@2foodfreaks) , you definitely should! This place has such amazing reviews that we caved in, and visited this place finally. But let us tell you guys, this place was a huge disappointment! Why you ask? Well, it isn’t worth the hype at all!
BFF's kitchen

BFF is a very tiny place at Subhash Road, with outdoor seating and a lot of mosquitoes. There are plastic chairs stuffed in one nook of the place. The kitchen is open and you can see your food getting prepared. The menu is displayed on the wall which is nice. The service is pretty quick, no complaints there! We could overlook all of it, because what matters to us as food bloggers is the Food!
The Menu

Coming straight to what we ordered:

1.   The BFF Special Burger (Non veg): This being called ‘BFF Special’ instantly upped our expectations, but honestly, this was plainly okay burger. There were two thick patties and two cheese slices and some veggies, but it had an okayish taste. Considering that it was for 150 bucks, it wasn’t worth the price! There wasn’t that yumminess to it that usually a 100+ bucks burger gives you.

It was plain okay! :(

2.   Masala Classic: We were surprised to see that it had the same patty was the BFF special burger, only instead of two patties, this one had one and some masala. Again, average taste but since it is only priced at 80 bucks, we could cut some slack.
Masala Classic

A much better burger than BFF Special, which is like twice the cost of this one!

3.   BFF Combo Fries: This was the one thing that we liked out of everything we ordered. We selected plain fries+Cheese and BBQ sauce+ cheese shots and capsicum as the options of Fries, Sauces, toppings and Vegetable respectively. For 100 bucks, this one sure is a steal. The quantity is great and so is the taste. Their fries are thick and hold their shape very well. They aren’t very salty, which is a good thing.

The only saving grace that day!

4.   Mozzarella Cheese Sticks: We have tried this before, but from a different place and we fell head over heels with this dish, so when we saw it in the menu, we had no choice but to order it. But again, they were plainly tasteless. All we could taste is the batter. In fact, in some of the sticks, there wasn’t cheese at all! It has hollow! One good thing about it is that it comes with some fries and BBQ Sauce.

Looks delish.but isn't :(

Overall, we weren’t that happy, like we usually are after eating so much! We weren’t content because we spent nearly 500 bucks for nothing! It’s not a bad place, but it did not suit our palate! Would we come here again? Probably no! It doesn’t have one thing that’s unique from others or a taste that could pull us back here.

Food: 3 / 5
VFM: 3.5 / 5
Ambience: 2 / 5
Service: 4 / 5

We recommend the BFF Combo Fries.

Bon Appetit!
