Hello Foodies!
We’re back again with a review of a very “Instagrammable
place”. We were invited to Above & Beyond Eatery, a place that has
been built around an idea to offer its patrons a space to gather, eat, drink,
converse and play all day long. With its interiors bursting a convivial
atmosphere, rustic industrial essence the café is sure to fill one’s heart with
content and creatively stand out in the area it is located at.

Cutesy Chairs! 💓 |
We’ll get to the food first and at the end of the blog, you’ll
find more information about this place. So sit back and enjoy the read and the
pictures!
1.
Cheese Chilly Poppers:
This was the first dish that came in and it was a duo of cheese, jalapeno,
coriander, lemon. A nice combination of crispy exteriors and gooey warm
interiors. It came with a dip which went really well with the poppers.

Love! |
2.
Cheese Chilly Toast:
Now it looks like your regular bread with some spread on top, but trust us,
this was just too good! You can’t pass this up as your normal toast! It was
just so cheesy and yummy!

Yes we do have a thing for cheese and chilly! |
|
Yummers! |
3.
Kiwi Fusion Sheesha:
They serve sheeshas here so we initially called for Watermelon Sheesha, but
they serve it only on weekends, so we picked up the Kiwi Fusion to try instead.
We were expecting a little mint flavor in it because it says ‘Fusion’ but then
it had plain kiwi flavor and the FoodFreak liked it. They changed the coal
every 5-10 minutes so the flavor was fresh.

4.
Cottage Cheese, Bell Peppers + American
Corn Chaat Pizza: We customized the pizza and told them
to bring half of Cottage Cheese & Bell peppers and the other half f Amrican
Corn Chaat Pizza. The base of the pizza was extremely thin and crispy. We liked
the Cottage Cheese one better than the American Corn Chaat though.

5.
Veg Lasagna:
This is from their new menu which isn’t mentioned. This is one good meal now!
It was just delicious and very filling. They serve a small square of the lasagna
and it does fill you up because it has loads of cheese, veggies and the pasta.
It is too good!

6.
Mushroom & Caramelized Onions
Sandwich: The presentation here is good and so is the dish. Although
the side of the salad got wasted! The filling of the sandwich is creamy and
delicious and so is the bread. They crisp up the bread perfectly with nice side
taste of butter.

Scrumptious! |

😍😍😍 |
7.
Alfredo Pasta:
We love our pastas to be cheesy and gooey. But most places serve bland
Alfredos. This one was among the best serving Alfredo pastas! It came with a
side of just as delicious, crispy and buttered garlic bread! Now that’s what we
call a comfort food!

8.
Sundried Tomato Polenta Square:
We’ve never eaten Polenta before but my my! This was so yummy! We’re out of
words now it seems! This was just too good, tiny little squares of Pan seared,
ratatouille, mozzarella, fried basil. The combination just teases your taste
buds like no one’s business!

9.
Soya Bean Keema Tikki Burger:
We’re lovers of Chicken burgers and hardly ever go over the Veg side of
burgers, but recently that has changed! And we are all but just too glad that
we ordered this burger! Made out of not-so-spicy soya keema, roast potato,
coriander mayo, this one is a huge delicious burger!

10.
Passion Kiwi Sour Punch Smoothie:
We wanted to try something different so we ordered this one. It’s a sweet and
sour smoothie that’s yellow coloured. We loved it initially but then we got
bored of the flavor. So if you are ordering this, make sure you share it with
your friends!

Two flavours so different from each other! |
11.
After 8 Milk Shake:
Now this one though is not meant for sharing! After 8 is a chocolate smoothie
with mint flavor. We’ve already told you how we love the chocolate and mint
combination and this one takes the choco-mint obsession to a whole new level!
The flavours are heightened and we love it! A Must order!

Lovely Lemonade:
We were here for a very long time since IPL was going on and the place is so
comfortable and vibrant upstairs. So we ordered this drink to wash down all the
food. This one was a surprisingly unusual lemonade! This one was pinkish red
coloured liquid and had a really nice sour-tangy-sweet taste to it. We loved
it!

The service was good. Anyway we had a great time here
lounging, relaxing and eating good food! The presentation of the food is just too good! We do recommend this place just to
chill and unwind with your friends. There are games, books and drawing material
available here so you can kill your time easily here.

More on Above & Beyond Eatery here:
Split into two levels, the café stretches across 1100 sq.ft
on both the levels decorated with industrial elements on the base level and an
accent of Moroccan interiors at the first level. The base level showcases a concrete
grey floor with brick walls adorning metal frames and inherits its roots of an industrial
vibe. Another corner represents factory items like gears, springs and a wire fence
decorated with hanging tyres and bat menu. The seating gives a rustic
industrial feel with its metal chairs with wooden tops. It also includes an
open kitchen which resembles an old coffee making factory (because of the
grinding machine) with a chalk board displaying quotes about coffee and food.
There is also a dessert counter which is nicely tucked in a brass cage with
glass walls giving it maximum counter space and absolutely no visual hindrance.
The interiors not only accentuate the originality of the place but also enhance
it by incorporating the details of comfort and variety to please all its
guests. To enhance the experience further, the café also has wall mounted
shelves with different board games and reading options for off-screen
entertainment.
As one ascends to the next level they see marble stairs
(integrated with geometric stone cut outs) and a wall with gear framed mirrors,
lead to the upper level of the café with radiant hues which serves as a
separate hangout and eating area. Level one is appointed with an eclectic array
of furnishings: turquoise chairs, mosaic tables, Moroccan lamps, antique wooden
accents. Its design echoes multi color textured walls and ceiling draped with
white curtains and ornate metal lamps which are hung from it. Keeping in mind
the comfort of the guests, they have a lower seating with comfortable sofas and
tables that have adjustable height. The elements of the room exhibit impressive
shades on multi-coloured sofas which dominate the interiors along with a
neutral color-washed background giving the feel of a Moroccan culture. It will
also serve Sheesha so one can puff on their favourite perfumed tobacco.
You guyz ate all these things??? :P
