Food Review: Frisbees.. The Burger Peddler!

Our quest for the search of good burgers is never ending. We always look out for burger joints to see whether they are worth it or not. The quest finally ended with Frisbees!

We’d say it’s a difficult task to find the place as it is located in a narrow street in Chimbai village near St. Andrews Church. The nearest landmark would be Bandstand, Bandra. It’s a blink and miss place, as it happened with us too.

Are you thinking why visit this place when it difficult to find it? If yes, then don’t because this place is totally worth the battery drainage caused to your cell phone by your GPS.

Frisbees is a quaint little place that has about 3 tables and a small cute board outside that reads ‘Frisbees’. You can immediately recognize the place when you see a blue wall and a door. The place is well lit and there’s some cool music playing in the background. We liked the simple yet attractive interiors.

Now coming to the point, why to visit here? It’s quite obvious, Frisbees is famous for its burgers so we wanted to try out burgers that are juicy and huge and absolutely delicious. If you too, are looking for something like this, then my friend, you’re search is over.

Authentic burgers are served here, and yes guys their burgers are far better than Dunkin Donuts (which used to be our personal favorite until now).

These burgers are huge and finger-licking good so if you plan to go, go with some appetite! Every Burger is accompanied with a portion of fries. Actually they aren’t the regular fries that we get, but more like potato wedges. Slightly on the darker side, but they go very well with the burgers. The fries are lightly tossed in red chili powder. Some are crispy and some are soggy, but taste wise, they are good.

1.       Frisbees Original Chicken Burger: A big burger with a fried chicken patty with onions, tomato, ketchup and mayonnaise. We were told by the management that it’s a simple burger but still we went ahead because we wanted to and also we believe that simple ones should have a taste that differs from other burger places. And yes guys, the burger was an authentic one that tastes very good. But we won’t recommend to the ones who like trying out different stuff as this one is a fairly simple burger as compared to the rest of the burgers. If you like playing safe, you might as well like this one.

2.       Crunchy Chicken Burger: Huge burger with a juicy and succulent chicken patty having onions and tomato with beetroot mayonnaise. Beetroot mayonnaise sounds something different right? I don’t know about you all, but it was new to us at least. The Beetroot mayonnaise was pink in colour and it tasted delicious with the patty. You can’t actually taste the beetroot though. It was a very different burger and but obviously better than Frisbees original chicken burger. Also, this was suggested by the manager. It tasted really very good. We were so happy with how the burgers turned out.

3.      Cheese Poppers:  Well it is a sider but it won’t be a sider for cheese lovers. Cheese lovers like us would love to devour this as our main course too. Crisp on the outside and gooey inside. This was served with mayonnaise dip. This dish is a heaven in form of food for people who like cheese. We will say that it was the best cheese popper we had in a long time. Perfect side dish and one can never go wrong with this dish. Wish we had a portion or two (Maybe even 10) right now, as we pen this review down!

Overall we really loved this cute little burger place and we will surely recommend this place to all food lovers.  This burger place is a replica of burger places found in foreign countries. We will admit that these burgers are very messy to eat and we found it difficult to finish. The service takes a bit of time though, but the food is worth the wait. The manager is really nice and helpful. Also, one important thing we’d like to share is just send friend request to Frisbees on Facebook before your visit and you will get deal of the day depending on which day you visit. Oh! And did we mention that they have free Wi-Fi too? J
