The Waffle Tree Review

Place – A small joint amongst the other shops of Powai. This place does not have an appalling or attractive interior but surely serves some amazing food.

Staff: Yet again we had the owner of this place to greet us. Manisha, the owner of “The Waffle Tree” is a sweet lady who knows what she is doing. She may not be present 24*7 at the shop but she has trained her staff well so good service is assured.

Coming to what we gorged on!

FOOD

1. Classic Veggie: This was one of the waffle slider that we tried which is a great innovation by The Waffle Tree. A burger made of waffles, yes you read it correct! A burger with waffles in place of buns – definitely a must try!

2. Paan Milkshake: A different yet a refreshing milk shake. As different as it may sound this milkshake is worth a try if you don’t mind a little mint-ish paan touch to the milkshake.

3.  Smoky Bites: These were served with chilly garlic sauce and it was okay.

4. Pizza sticks: These were served with Mayonnaise on top. We really liked these!

5. Poppers: Similar to the Smokey Bites, even the poppers were served with garlic sauce, they tasted good.

6. Bubble in black: A popular bubble waffle served in black bubble waffle cone with black charcoal ice cream. The ice cream used in this dessert is prepared in the shop itself and is made to perfection! This desert would never fail to mesmerize you. Have one of these and your day is filled with sweetness.

Dessert waffles:

1.       Macha Waffle: Macha is a type of green tea. Yes, they do serve green tea waffles!  Another unique and tasty creation of waffle tree. The filling is made up of Macha green tea and white chocolate.

2.       Bubblegum:  As sweet as they taste they have an adorable look too. Blue in color, these waffles are perfect for your Instagram stories, apart from being tasty and nostalgic!

3.       Shahi Tukda:  Another specialty of “The Waffle Tree” Shahi Tukda are waffles with Rabdi Gulab Jamun for its filling. A popular choice for a reason!

4.       Paan Waffle: Just like the milkshake the paan waffle has a minty yet sweet taste to it. Different yet refreshing in a very satisfying way.

5.       Choco Coconut: Another one of our favorites here.  We promise it won’t disappoint you. The filling used is so sweet and has a perfect blend of coconut and white chocolate. A must have for sure!

    

6.       Cinnamon Apple:  A waffle with a mix of cinnamon and berries served with cinnamon jam.

7.       Berry Berry: A waffle filled with a mix of whipped cream and blue berries.

8.       Tiramisu: Not a traditional tiramisu waffle, this has coffee with chocolate chips in it.
