Raju Sandwich, Churchgate
Hello
Foodies!
Today’s
review is based on a very famous place in Mumbai. If you are a foodie but if
you don’t know about this place then you surely are living under a rock! Raju
Sandwich is a tiny place opposite HR College that serves lip smacking sandwiches
and garlic bread that costs peanuts! Mind you, this place is always super
crowded but the service is pretty quick. You get your order in 10 minutes even
with so much of crowd waiting for their orders. You do have to remind the ‘bhaiyaa’
once or twice though.
The specialty
of Raju Sandwich is the type of bread used to serve sandwiches or garlic bread.
They use hot dog bread instead of regular bread. They are very generous while
grating cheese on top of your food. Look at the amount of cheese in our
pictures and you’ll know! We ordered 5
sandwiches on our visit here. Let’s take a look at each one!
1. Cheese Panini [Rs 110] : This is a must order if you visit
this place. It is a classic Panini with lots of cheese and yummy filling
sandwiched between the bread. Each roll/Panini/sandwich comes with three
chutneys or dips. The Panini in itself is not that spicy so you can use the
chilly dip to add some spice to your food.

2. Cheese Garlic Bread [Rs 75] : You know our never-ending love for
garlic and cheese. We don’t even have to justify our order on this one. The
bread is soft and the cheese is stringy. Best combination ever! The garlic flavor
is very mild but it is present. For 75 Rs, this dish is just too good!

3. Cheese Chilly Roll [Rs 60] : Just as we finished the garlic
bread, we wanted more of it. Hence, instead of going for a repeat, we ordered
this cheese chilly roll instead. The taste is same but just a little spicy. It
also has some filling with capsicum and jalapeno in it. Again, a very delicious
sandwich.

4. Pasta Cheese Roll [Rs 60] : Arrabiata Pasta and cheese filling
in a sandwich- this one sure is an unusual dish. But nonetheless, it was tasty!
It could have been spicier though. This dish had a slightly sweet taste to it.

5. Cheese Noodle Roll [Rs 60] :
This one was almost similar [taste-wise] to the Pasta Cheese Roll. The
only difference was, instead of Pasta, they added Noodles. Eat this with the
dips they provide you, and you have got one delightful meal!

The place
doesn’t have any ambiance because it is a road-side stall, but people are gaga
over this little place. And why not! The place serves delicious
sandwiches/rolls at extremely pocket friendly prices. We did notice that their
pricing seemed slightly off because some of the sandwiches [the best sellers]
are priced more than the others. We can ignore that though because the service
is quick and the food speaks for itself.
