Hello Foodies!
|
Could use this chair right now.. |
We’re back with a review of a place which serves Tea.
And not just plain ghar ka Chai, but different variants of Tea. They also serve
a lot of light bites to accompany the various Tea offerings.

Chilling zone |
So we got an invitation from Tea Trails team that they
wanted to host us for a tasting of their newly launched ‘Summer Specials’ and
we were only too glad to comply! Who doesn’t love trying out new things right?
We were immediately on board and we went here on a lovely (and super-hot)
Saturday noon at their Vile Parle outlet.

How cute is this? |

We’ll share the details about Tea
Trails and the ‘Tea journey’ at the end of the review, let’s get started with
the food fest. So sit back and enjoy the
pictures and the review!
1.
Noodle-O-Mania: With
every eatery coming up with their own version of Maggi, we decided to try out
this one. It came served in what looked like a ballerina shoe, but we got side
tracked by the delicious fragrance of the hot maggi along with oodles of
cheese! The first bite we had was covered in cheese and oh my! Their cheese
tastes amazing! Yeah, that’s what we noticed first! The noodles were awesome
with the cheese, but as we finished the cheese, the noodles were pretty okay.

Doesn't it look like a Ballerina shoe? |

Yummy cheese shavings! 😍😍🧀 |
2.
Matcha
Shake: Matcha has been in the food news since quite some time
now and we wanted to try it. It is a kind of a green tea from Japan and there
are various food stuffs being prepared out of it. Since Tea Trails is a ‘Tea’
themed café, they decided to take their own spin on this green tea. They made a
Shake out of it. The milk shake is thick but not too heavy on the stomach. The
taste is quite different here. There’s just a tiny bit of bitterness that you
barely notice from the Matcha, but apart from that there’s sweetness from the
Vanilla ice cream too. It’s different, but a good kind of different.

Three
Cheese Veg Pizza: We like our Margarita Pizzas but when you
read a thing called as Three cheese, a true cheese lover would never say no! We
ordered this one and it was the best decision! The pizza has super thin crust
so that all your focus is on the cheese. The base has a sauce and topped off
with loads of cheese. It was like we were transported to cheese heaven with the
first bite! It was the best margarita pizza of all times! You have to try this
one out! There’s no need of oregano or sauce. Maybe chilli flakes, but damn!
This thing is awesome!

Look at all that cheese! 🧀🧀🍕🍕 |
4.
Cheese
Chilli Bruschetta: We love our garlic bread, but for a change
we opted for Cheese Chilli bruschetta. There’s hardly any difference between
the two, but Bruschetta seems fancier to pronounce! This one was crisp and had
good flavor. But not enough garlic and chilli flavor. It seemed slightly bland.

Yeah, we love our carbs! |
5.
Paneer
Tikka Sandwich: The sandwich has a lot of paneer filling
in it and the brown bread was crisp. The filling had a very familiar taste but
we couldn’t put our finger on what it tasted like! The sandwich comes with a
side of salad that we did not touch (Hihi), coleslaw, that tasted good and
fresh and fries. The fries were crispy and good. The sandwich is filling and
heavy.

Lovely sight! |
6.
Better
Wife: This is a drink was a medley of orange and mint.
Better Wife was fresh with slightly overpowering mint flavor. This isn’t sugary
sweet hence we liked it. It’s a great drink to chill and relax. We wonder why it's called 'Better Wife'?

7.
Cheese
Pakoda: By now you might know that we love cheese anything! We
ordered this dish and it wasn’t the best decision we’d say! The batter was a
gram flour or Besan batter and it was a bit too salty. The cheese here did not
taste like what cheese tastes! It was bland. We did not like this dish to be
honest.

Don't judge a book by it's cover! |
8.
Chocolate
Waffle & Brownie Waffle: We had initially called
for Mega fruity waffle, but since it wasn’t available, one of us ordered
chocolate one and the other ordered brownie one, but between the two, brownie
waffle gets the brownie points! It just so decadent that the chocolate waffle
can’t measure up to! The brownie waffle has more richness to it and the waffle
has cocoa in it, so all the more choolately! But not tooth hurting sweet!
Definitely go for the brownie one if you love chocolate!

Overall, the place is nice and the interiors are well
done up. The service is quick and friendly. The chef also explained to us what
each dish means. We loved our time here and the food was good. Quantity was
slightly less but it’s the taste that matters the most!
|
Nice place to relax in the evenings.. |
Food: 3.5 / 5
Ambience: 4.5 / 5
Service: 4 / 5
We’d recommend trying out their 3 cheese pizza and brownie
waffle!
Bon Appetit!
